Ready, Set, Give. Make Hope Happen at Lincoln Today!

Aurora Sanchez was confident she was doing the right thing following her husband to start a new life for her family in the U.S. Adjusting to a different language, culture, and way of life in her new country was filled with unknowns and isolation. Aurora felt stressed, lonely, and depressed.

That's when she found Lincoln’s Family Resource Center (FRC) at her East Oakland neighborhood’s elementary school. She quickly signed up for two classes offered at the FRC – English as a Second Language and Zero to Five Parenting. Learning English with Lincoln has been essential for Aurora in fitting into her new community and reaching out beyond the walls of her home. Both she and her husband say that they’ve become better parents through Lincoln's early childhood classes.

Your gift today helps support families like Aurora’s during the holidays, providing turkeys, food assistance, and gift cards so that parents can select and purchase gifts for their children.
